Tax Manager (Hybrid)

About the role

Clearhouse LLP is seeking a forward‑thinking Tax Manager to lead client engagements and shape the future of its tax function. This hybrid position offers the chance to work with a diverse portfolio of clients across eSports, cannabis, life sciences, technology, telecom, fintech, and mining sectors.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage tax engagements for a wide range of corporate, trust, and estate clients.
• Develop and implement tax strategies, including reorganizations, pre‑sale planning, financing structures, and cross‑border M&A advisory.
• Provide technical and project‑management leadership to junior staff and ensure quality‑control standards.
• Assist assurance teams with tax provision reviews and prepare working papers for non‑assurance clients.
• Stay current on tax law changes and advise clients on compliance, planning, and accounting matters.
• Participate in business development and nurture client relationships.

Required profile

• BS/BA in Accounting or equivalent.
• CPA designation (completed or in progress) with CPA In‑depth tax course preferred.
• 4+ years of experience in a public accounting firm, primarily in tax.
• Experience with Canadian Controlled Public Companies, public corporations, partnerships, and international tax matters.
• Proven ability to lead multiple engagements and mentor junior staff.

• Preparation and review of T1 and T2 tax returns.

• Strong written and verbal communication.
