Tax Advisor & Preparer (Hybrid – Travel to Clients)

About the role

The Tax Advisor & Preparer works directly with FBC members to understand their financial situation and deliver tailored tax strategies that minimize taxes both short‑term and long‑term. This hybrid position is based in Barrie, ON, with daily travel to client locations in Newmarket and surrounding communities. You will also introduce members to the full suite of FBC services, including bookkeeping, payroll, legal assistance, and financial planning.

Key responsibilities

• Provide accurate tax and accounting advice to FBC members.
• Prepare and file T1 personal and T2 corporate tax returns.
• Identify member needs and connect them with other specialists within the company.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with members, encouraging referrals and long‑term engagement.
• Participate in community events to increase visibility and strengthen relationships.
• Maintain accurate records of all member interactions and services provided.

Required profile

• Minimum of 1 year experience in a tax preparation or accounting firm.
• Client‑focused mindset with strong communication skills.
• Valid driver’s licence, vehicle registration and reliable vehicle for daily travel.
• Willingness to travel daily to urban and remote locations.
