Tax Advisor & Preparer (Hybrid, Kelowna)

About the role

The Tax Advisor & Preparer works directly with FBC members to understand their financial situation and deliver tailored tax strategies that minimise short‑ and long‑term tax liabilities. This hybrid position requires daily travel to members’ businesses across urban and remote locations in the Kelowna area.

Key responsibilities

• Provide accurate tax and accounting advice to members.
• Collect member information and prepare T1 (individual) and T2 (corporate) tax returns.
• Build and maintain strong relationships, encouraging referrals and long‑term engagement.
• Identify member needs and connect them with other specialists within FBC.
• Maintain accurate records of all member interactions and services provided.
• Perform other duties as required.

Required profile

• Minimum of 2 years experience in a tax preparation or accounting firm.
• Proficiency with tax preparation and accounting software; Taxprep and Xero preferred (iFirm knowledge an asset).
• Experience preparing tax returns for farms and small businesses.
• Experience preparing both individual and corporate tax returns.
