Systems Specialist

About the role

The Information Services unit of Health and Social Services is seeking two Systems Specialists for term positions. Based in Whitehorse with travel to Yukon communities, the role supports a wide range of health and social services programs across the territory.

Key responsibilities

• Provide expert technical support and guidance for the analysis, implementation, adaptation, maintenance, and operation of various systems.
• Review and analyze existing business processes and recommend improvements to ensure compliance with government standards and policies.
• Administer and manage system maintenance, enhancements, and service‑desk operations.
• Collaborate with internal teams to support service delivery for health and social services programs.

Required profile

• Post‑secondary coursework, diploma or degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Experience delivering client‑focused technical support in a service‑desk environment.
• Experience administering and managing system maintenance and enhancements.
