System Administrator

About the role

We are looking for a technically solid and automation‑mind​ed System Administrator to join our internal IT team at Nakisa’s Montréal headquarters. Reporting to the IT Manager, this hands‑on position is at the core of day‑to‑day IT operations – keeping systems running, supporting employees worldwide, and continuously finding smarter ways to work. You will operate across Windows and Linux environments, Microsoft 365, virtualization, and networking while contributing to our automation and AI‑driven initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Provide Tier 2 support for infrastructure, systems, applications, and end‑user issues, prioritising automation and self‑service to reduce ticket volume.
• Support core IT operations such as employee onboarding/offboarding, access provisioning, and system configuration.
• Administer and maintain Windows and Linux server environments supporting internal services, file servers, and development/QA systems.
• Manage Microsoft 365 services—including Entra ID, Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams—and enforce automated access governance.
• Administer Active Directory, domains, users, Group Policies, DNS, DHCP, Certificate Authority and related services.
• Monitor system performance, availability and security, and proactively resolve issues.
• Support and troubleshoot network infrastructure, including switches and related hardware.

Required profile

• Junior‑level candidate early in an IT career.
• Strong technical foundation in Windows and Linux administration.
• Interest in automation and self‑service solutions.
• Ability to work collaboratively with experienced IT leadership.
