About the role
The Brantford Police Service is seeking qualified candidates to join its team as Sworn Constables. This full‑time position offers a long‑term career in law enforcement with opportunities for advancement, training at the Ontario Police College, and the chance to serve a diverse community.
Key responsibilities
- Respond to emergency and non‑emergency calls for service.
- Maintain public order, protect lives and property, and provide assistance to the public.
- Enforce laws, conduct investigations, make arrests, and prepare cases for court.
- Write and submit timely, accurate reports on investigations and police activities.
- Patrol assigned areas, identify community problems, and engage proactively with residents.
Required profile
- Canadian citizen or permanent resident, at least 18 years old.
- Physically and mentally capable of performing police duties safely.
- Good character and ability to meet one of the education criteria: secondary school diploma, university degree, college diploma or equivalent certification.
