Student Recruitment Associate

About the role

The Student Recruitment Associate supports McGill University’s admissions team by delivering accurate information to prospective students, families, and counselors. Working under the Student Recruitment Manager, the role combines virtual outreach, in‑person school visits, and event coordination to promote McGill’s undergraduate programs.

Key responsibilities

• Provide admissions, recruitment, scholarship, and student‑services information to applicants and the public.
• Plan, coordinate, and participate in virtual and on‑site visits to Canadian and international high schools.
• Represent McGill at undergraduate recruitment events, fairs, and campus tours.
• Prepare and deliver presentations on academic programs, student life, and admission criteria.
• Utilise recruiting software and data to schedule, track, and report recruitment activities.
• Support social‑media campaigns aimed at prospective and admitted students.
• Collaborate with the recruitment team on MS Teams to organise events and communications.
• Participate in training sessions and professional‑development activities to stay current on university policies and recruitment trends.

Required profile

• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with diverse audiences.
• Excellent written and verbal communication in English.
• Interest in higher‑education recruitment and student services.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
• Flexibility to travel for in‑person school visits and events.

Required skills
