Structured Cabling Technician I

About the role

We are seeking a Technician I specialized in structured cabling to join Bosch Building Technologies. The role involves installing, terminating, and testing data, audio‑visual and CCTV cabling systems for a variety of projects.

Key responsibilities

• Install and service cabling infrastructure (Cat5, Cat6, fiber optic) and related devices for data, AV and CCTV.
• Perform pre‑wiring, termination, labeling, testing and reporting according to specifications and drawings.
• Install network racks and cabinets in server rooms and other environments.
• Complete accurate documentation, including OHS checks, packing slips, checklists, as‑builts and test results.
• Interact with customers professionally and adhere to Bosch’s quality and safety programs.
• Travel and overtime may be required on an ad‑hoc basis.

Required profile

• 1‑3 years of experience in low‑voltage or integrated security installations.
• Ability to read and follow installation blueprints, bills of material and project plans.
• Valid driver’s licence with a clean abstract and ability to pass a background check.
• Bondable and able to work in construction sites or corporate offices.

Required skills

• Installation and termination of Cat5/6 cabling.
• Fiber‑optic cable termination and testing.
• Installation of racks, cabinets and patch panels.
• Use of hand and power tools safely.
• Cable testing and labeling.
