Structure Design Engineer – Montreal

About the role

Infosys is seeking a Structure Design Engineer to provide engineering support for the Airbus A220 family (A220‑100 and A220‑300) in Montreal. The role involves leading structural design activities, managing modification processes, and collaborating with offshore teams to ensure compliance with Airbus standards.

Key responsibilities

• Provide engineering support for A220 airframe components, including drawing creation, ICD/WPICD updates, and SWAP incorporation.
• Manage modification processes through Decision Gates, including Preliminary Design Review (PDR) and Critical Design Review (CDR).
• Collaborate closely with offshore engineering teams to deliver clear technical guidance.
• Lead and support structural design and development of components following Airbus processes and standards.
• Review and validate 3D models, 2D drawings, and Bill of Materials for project compliance.
• Offer technical expertise on structures, materials, stress sizing, manufacturing considerations, and certification constraints.
• Support general design activities such as process improvements and cost reduction.
• Drive issue resolution and ensure Design Validation (DV) and Design Authority (DAA) requirements are met.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in engineering or a related field.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in aerospace structural design or related Information Technology roles.
• Authorization to work in Canada without employer‑based visa sponsorship.
• Knowledge of Airbus Canada specifications, airworthiness requirements, and metallic/composite design principles.
• Experience with Airbus processes, documentation tools, and multi‑partner environments.
