Store Associate

About the role

The Salvation Army is seeking a Store Associate to support daily operations at its Airdrie thrift store. You will greet customers and donors, handle transactions, and ensure donated items are processed efficiently.

Key responsibilities

• Welcome and assist customers and donors with a friendly attitude.
• Process cash, debit, and credit transactions accurately.
• Load, unload, sort, price, and display donated merchandise.
• Maintain store opening and closing procedures.
• Monitor store security and handle difficult situations tactfully.
• Support inventory control by retrieving, hanging, and pricing items.
• Assist with store layout, window displays, and merchandising to attract shoppers.

Required profile

• Strong customer‑service orientation.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced retail environment.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in cash handling.
• Physical ability to lift and move donations.
