About the role
Star Construction 2014 is looking for a Steel Stud Framer to join its carpentry crew in Brampton, ON. The position involves working on commercial construction sites, handling steel and wood materials, and meeting tight deadlines.
Key responsibilities
- Measure, cut, shape, assemble and join wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel and other materials according to project specifications.
- Work at heights in noisy, dusty, outdoor environments while adhering to safety standards.
- Travel to various construction locations as required and perform tasks with minimal supervision.
- Handle heavy loads and perform physically demanding work such as bending, crouching and kneeling.
- Complete overtime as needed to meet project schedules.
Required profile
- 1 to less than 7 months of experience in framing or carpentry.
- No formal education required; willingness to work outdoors and at heights.
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting heavy loads and working under tight deadlines.
- Capability to work with minimal supervision and willingness to travel.
