Staff Pharmacist

About the role

We are seeking a Staff Pharmacist to join our North York pharmacy. The role involves delivering high‑quality pharmacy services, ensuring safe medication use, and supporting a team of technicians and assistants.

Key responsibilities

• Perform pharmacist duties including drug utilization reviews, patient counseling, and all regulated dispensing activities.
• Dispense prescriptions with a high degree of accuracy, ensuring proper interpretation, labeling, and product selection.
• Organize and direct pharmacy technician and assistant workflows, verifying preparation and labeling of pharmaceuticals.
• Supervise pharmacy assistants and technicians to ensure efficient and safe daily operations.
• Maintain security and privacy of protected health information in compliance with PHIPA and PIPEDA.
• Update and maintain accurate patient profile records in line with privacy legislation and OCP requirements.
• Follow all provincial and federal pharmacy regulations (OCP, NAPRA, Health Canada).
• Maintain a clean and sanitary work environment as mandated by Health Canada.
• Drive quality initiatives by adhering to standard operating procedures and identifying improvement opportunities.

Required profile

• Licensed pharmacist in good standing with the Ontario College of Pharmacists.
• Full‑time availability Monday‑Friday, 9 am – 6 pm, on‑site in North York.
• Ability to supervise and mentor pharmacy support personnel.
• Strong knowledge of PHIPA, PIPEDA, OCP, NAPRA and Health Canada regulations.
