Staff AI Platform & Agent Runtime Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a Staff AI Platform & Agent Runtime Engineer to build the foundation for enterprise‑scale AI and agent execution at EQ Bank. In this hands‑on leadership role you will architect, operate and evolve the platform that powers next‑generation AI agents, enabling teams across the organization to develop, deploy and scale intelligent workloads securely and reliably.

Key responsibilities

• Define the enterprise AI platform architecture and roadmap.
• Design, build and operate AI‑native CI/CD platforms for model, prompt and agent lifecycle management.
• Implement secure‑by‑design AI controls, governance and FinOps practices.
• Establish reliability, observability and resilience standards.
• Lead architecture reviews and developer enablement programs.
• Provide technical leadership across engineering, security and business teams.

Required profile

• 7+ years of software, platform or cloud engineering experience, including 3+ years on AI/ML platforms or agentic systems.
• Deep hands‑on expertise with Azure services (AKS, networking, private endpoints, identity, Key Vault) and Azure AI Foundry.
• Proven experience building CI/CD pipelines for ML/LLM workloads.
• Strong background in distributed systems, Kubernetes orchestration and API/SDK design.
• Experience with agent frameworks such as Semantic Kernel, LangChain or AutoGen.
• Excellent collaboration and communication skills with engineering, security, risk and business stakeholders.
