South Asian Wedding Coordinator

About the role

Taj Raj Events is seeking a contract‑based South Asian Wedding Coordinator to provide on‑site support for luxury weddings in New York City. You will work closely with the events team to ensure seamless execution of culturally rich celebrations.

Key responsibilities

• Assist with décor setup, guest flow management, and cultural ceremony requirements.
• Develop and execute contingency plans to address any on‑site issues.
• Collaborate with the Taj Raj Events team to maintain high service standards.
• Support vendor coordination and on‑site logistics during events.

Required profile

• Proven experience in wedding and event planning, especially South Asian and fusion weddings (e.g., Anand Karaj, Punjabi weddings).
• Background in event management, including timeline creation and vendor coordination.
• Strong customer‑service orientation for high‑touch, luxury clients.
• Excellent written and verbal communication with clients and vendors.
• Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as event schedules demand.
• Highly organized with attention to detail and ability to juggle multiple tasks.
• Prior experience as a wedding or event coordinator is required.
