About the role
We are seeking a passionate Sous Chef to lead and mentor our kitchen team, ensuring exceptional food quality and guest experience. The successful candidate will support the Head Chef in daily operations and drive continuous improvement across the back‑of‑house.
Key responsibilities
- Oversee day‑to‑day kitchen operations, including food preparation, plating, and service flow.
- Train, mentor and support kitchen staff to maintain Earls’ standards of quality and safety.
- Manage inventory, place orders, control food costs and ensure consistent quality control.
- Resolve operational issues promptly, using strong multitasking and communication skills.
- Promote a collaborative team environment and uphold a focus on the guest experience.
Required profile
- Minimum 2 years of culinary experience.
- At least 1 year of supervisory or management experience.
- Passion for culinary arts, teamwork and continuous learning.
- Willingness to receive coaching, feedback and mentorship.
- Legal right to work in Canada; Food Safe Level 1 certification is a plus.
