Solids Control Field Technician (Remote, Canada)

About the role

Stage 3 is seeking a Solids Control Field Technician to support drilling operations across Canada. You will receive on‑the‑job training on specialized solids control equipment and work 12‑hour shifts on a 14‑days‑on/7‑days‑off rotational schedule.

Key responsibilities

• Rig up and rig down a variety of solids control equipment at remote job sites.
• Operate shaker tanks, centrifuges, drying equipment, pumps and related machinery.
• Perform fluid analysis including weight, viscosity and retort testing.
• Execute solids control services such as air drilling, barite recovery, de‑watering and cuttings drying.
• Carry out routine mechanical and basic electrical maintenance on equipment.
• Maintain a clean work environment using pressure‑washing tools.
• Participate in daily safety meetings and complete required PJRA/JSA, inspection and observation reports.

Required profile

• Willingness to work 12‑hour shifts on a 14‑on/7‑off rotation, including overtime.
• Ability to travel domestically to remote locations throughout Canada.
• Safety‑sensitive mindset with a commitment to PPE and safety protocols.
• Basic understanding of environmental services and electrical principles.
• Eagerness to learn drilling fluid properties and solids control techniques.
