About the role
Zynga is seeking a server‑side Software Engineer to work on its flagship poker titles. You will join a distributed, high‑performing team in Austin (or San Mateo) and help build large‑scale, high‑performance services that power social gaming experiences.
Key responsibilities
- Develop gameplay features and functionality using Go.
- Design, build, and integrate new technologies, tools, and SDKs.
- Extend core systems by diving into their internals as needed.
- Collaborate with other engineers on multi‑week or month‑long projects.
- Identify and improve team and process inefficiencies.
- Perform code reviews and contribute to overall code quality.
- Ensure secure coding practices and protect user data.
Required profile
- Self‑driven, motivated and strong communicator.
- Team player who can thrive under tight deadlines.
- Passion for games and a high level of integrity.
- At least 2 years of experience working on game‑industry teams.
- Fluent in Go and experienced building RESTful APIs and services.
Required skills
- Go programming language.
- REST API design and implementation.
- Server‑side service development.
- SDK integration.
