Software Engineer – Open Data Platform (ODP)

About the role

Acceldata is looking for a Software Engineer with at least three years of experience in distributed systems or data‑platform development. You will help design, build, and scale the Open Data Platform (ODP), contributing to open‑source projects that power mission‑critical data pipelines for large enterprises.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain high‑quality software components for the Open Data Platform.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to define, design, and implement new features.
• Write clean, well‑tested, and efficient code in Java, Python, or Scala.
• Participate in code reviews, architectural discussions, and debugging sessions.
• Deploy and run code on Linux environments across bare‑metal, virtual machines, and Kubernetes clusters.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of experience in distributed systems or data‑platform development.
• Mandatory proficiency with Linux for deployment and execution.
• Familiarity with Kubernetes, Docker, and cloud environments is a plus.
• Hands‑on experience with Java or Scala and Python.
• Experience building projects with Maven, Gradle, or SBT.
• Proficiency in GitHub and Nexus repository management.
