Software Engineer – Cloud Automation Tools

About the role

Qualcomm’s QCT Software Automation and Tools (QSWAT) group is looking for a Software Engineer to design, develop, test and maintain web‑based and cloud‑hosted tools that support its CI/CD ecosystem. The role involves working on a modern, AI‑enhanced micro‑services platform deployed on Kubernetes in AWS, covering both frontend and backend development.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, test and maintain web applications and backend services using React/TypeScript and .NET Core or Python.
• Implement and consume RESTful APIs, ensuring proper routing, versioning, error handling and OpenAPI documentation.
• Write clean, maintainable code with unit (Vitest, xUnit) and integration tests.
• Work with SQL Server for data modeling, querying and performance tuning.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, stand‑ups, retrospectives and demos.
• Debug issues, analyse root causes and propose fixes for moderately complex problems.
• Collaborate with teammates and cross‑functional partners, contributing to code reviews and design discussions.
• Leverage AI‑assisted development tools to accelerate workflows and document design decisions.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems or a related field.
• Ability to work independently on assigned tasks while receiving guidance from senior engineers.
• Strong problem‑solving skills and willingness to adapt to changing requirements.
