Software Engineer – API Development

About the role

CMiC is seeking a Software Engineer to design, build, and maintain RESTful APIs that power our construction‑focused SaaS and private‑hosted platforms. You will work closely with front‑end teams and database specialists to deliver reliable, secure, and high‑performance services.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain efficient, reusable, and secure API code using Java, Oracle ADF BC REST, and Jersey frameworks.
• Enhance tools and processes that support API development and deployment.
• Create clear documentation for APIs, related tools, and development processes.
• Review peer code, provide constructive feedback, and ensure adherence to best practices.
• Analyze technical problems, propose solutions, and implement fixes.

Required profile

• Strong interpersonal and communication abilities.
• Minimum 3 years of professional experience with object‑oriented programming, preferably Java.
• Solid understanding of OOP concepts, design patterns, and J2EE.
• Experience with REST over HTTP and building RESTful services.
• Knowledge of relational databases, SQL, and PL/SQL.
