Software Developer – Agile Team

About the role

We are looking for a Software Developer to join Vecima’s Agile team. You will contribute to the design, development, and maintenance of high‑performance software solutions in a collaborative, client‑centric environment.

Key responsibilities

• Engage with the Agile team throughout the software development lifecycle.
• Translate business and technical requirements into functional code.
• Implement, modify, and debug C/C++ and Python code in a Linux/Unix user‑land environment.
• Participate in technical discussions, design reviews, and code reviews.
• Support production systems, resolve incidents, and provide technical guidance.
• Generate clear documentation for created software solutions.
• Contribute to automated testing, continuous integration, and continuous improvement infrastructure.
• Mentor junior developers and share best practices.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering or equivalent (or in progress).
• Minimum 5 years of professional software development experience.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in locally and geographically distributed teams.
• Commitment to continuous learning and professional development.

Required skills

• Proficiency in C, C++, and Python with object‑oriented programming.
• Experience developing user‑land applications on Linux/Unix.
• Familiarity with embedded systems development.
• Knowledge of networking protocols such as TCP/IP, UDP/IP, SNMP, HTTP.
• Experience with tools like Yocto, Bitbake, Git, Gerrit, Jenkins, Jira, GDB.
• Understanding of test automation and continuous integration strategies.
