SOC Analyst, Tier III

About the role

Interac is seeking a senior SOC Analyst (Tier III) to lead the investigation, containment, eradication and recovery of complex cybersecurity incidents. You will work closely with technical teams, business stakeholders and external partners to protect Canada’s digital payments ecosystem.

Key responsibilities

• Lead investigations of malware, insider threats, unauthorized access and advanced attacks, and coordinate response across teams.
• Conduct advanced threat analysis, forensic investigations, root‑cause assessments and produce post‑incident reports.
• Develop and maintain incident‑response playbooks, strategies and lessons‑learned documentation.
• Perform digital forensics on endpoints, servers, cloud environments and network infrastructure, preserving evidence according to chain‑of‑custody standards.
• Drive proactive threat‑hunting initiatives, enhance security monitoring, detection use cases and threat analytics.
• Contribute to cybersecurity policies, standards and incident‑response frameworks, and advise technology, risk, legal and compliance teams.
• Support audits, regulatory assessments, security‑awareness programs and overall operational resilience.

Required profile

• Senior‑level experience in security operations, incident response and digital forensics.
• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to assess complex attack vectors and business impact.
• Excellent communication and coordination skills for cross‑functional collaboration.
