Skilled Welder – Industrial Fabrication

About the role

TC Steel Ltd. is seeking an experienced welder to join its industrial fabrication team in Edmonton. You will work on custom metal projects, handling a variety of alloys and heavy‑metal components.

Key responsibilities

• Interpret welding process specifications and blueprints.
• Operate manual, semi‑automatic and fully‑automated welding equipment.
• Read and apply welding drawings, specifications, manuals and processes.
• Examine completed welds to ensure they meet required standards.
• Operate manual or semi‑automatic flame‑cutting equipment as needed.

Required profile

• Registered Apprenticeship certificate.
• Minimum 5 years of welding experience in an industrial setting.
• Ability to handle heavy loads (up to 23 kg) and stand for extended periods.
• Strong manual dexterity, hand‑eye coordination and attention to detail.

Required skills

• Shielded Metal Arc Welding (SMAW)
• Gas Metal Arc Welding (GMAW)
• Flux Core Arc Welding (FCAW)
• Operation of manual, semi‑automatic and fully‑automated welding equipment
• Flame‑cutting equipment operation
• Reading and interpreting welding blueprints and specifications
