Site Superintendent – Calgary & Red Deer Corridor

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Site Superintendent to lead field operations for an established industrial, commercial and institutional (ICI) general contractor across the Calgary and Red Deer corridor. The role offers a collaborative environment where the superintendent influences planning, sequencing and safety on‑site.

Key responsibilities

• Own the site from mobilization through turnover, managing schedule, sequencing, quality and safety on a daily basis.
• Direct trade partners and self‑perform crews, set short‑interval plans and maintain the critical path.
• Participate early in planning discussions to provide constructability input and adjust plans proactively.
• Implement site safety practices, conduct hazard assessments and ensure crews return home safely.
• Track quality and deficiencies to deliver a clean handover with minimal punch‑list items.
• Collaborate with project managers and owner representatives across multiple projects in the corridor.

Required profile

• Eight or more years of experience as a superintendent on ICI projects from groundbreak to turnover.
• Trades or technical background that commands respect from crews.
• Proven ability to own schedule and short‑interval planning, identifying issues before they impact the look‑ahead.
• Demonstrated safety record, preferably with COR‑aligned site experience.
• Reliable transportation and willingness to work across Calgary and Red Deer.
• Gold Seal, CCA or equivalent certification is an asset.
