About the role
We are seeking a skilled carpenter to join our construction team in Red Deer. The role involves preparing cost estimates, interpreting plans, and building structures on site. You will work closely with supervisors and other tradespeople to ensure projects are completed on schedule.
Key responsibilities
- Prepare estimates of labour and material costs.
- Read blueprints, drawings and sketches to determine work requirements.
- Measure, cut, shape, assemble and join wood, wood substitutes and lightweight steel.
- Schedule and coordinate work on construction sites.
- Supervise other workers as needed.
Required profile
- Secondary school graduation certificate.
- 3 to 5 years of relevant carpentry experience.
Required skills
- Cost estimating.
- Blueprint reading.
- Woodworking and material joining.
- Handling of lightweight steel and wood substitutes.
