Shop/Yard Assistant

About the role
This hands‑on position supports yard and shop operations for a family‑owned wastewater solutions company. You will work closely with the fleet team to keep vehicles, tools and work areas clean, organized and ready for use.
Key responsibilities
- Clean and wash fleet vehicles, tools, equipment, and work areas.
- Safely operate a tele‑handler and other yard equipment to move parts, materials and vehicles.
- Assist in receiving, organizing and transporting parts, supplies and equipment.
- Perform general yard maintenance and housekeeping duties.
- Support shop organization, inventory control and material handling.
- Help fleet mechanics and shop personnel with non‑technical tasks as needed.
- Maintain a safe, clean and organized work environment.
Required profile
- Reliable, hardworking and team‑oriented.
- Comfortable with physical work and machinery operation.
- Basic mechanical knowledge is a plus.
- Willingness to learn and follow safety procedures.
- Experience with a tele‑handler or similar machinery is advantageous.
