Shop Helper – Service Department

About the role

OpenRoad’s Service department is seeking a Shop Helper to support daily operations at the Burnaby location. The role involves providing shuttle service for customers, keeping the service area clean, and assisting technicians with basic tasks.

Key responsibilities

• Provide safe shuttle service for clients to and from the dealership.
• Maintain cleanliness of the service department, lot, and wash/vacuum vehicles after repairs.
• Greet customers professionally and direct them to appropriate personnel.
• Assist technicians with basic mechanical tasks, including operating a tire machine.
• Follow safety policies and report any accidents promptly.

Required profile

• Highly self‑motivated and able to work under stress and deadlines.
• Attention to detail with high quality‑control standards.
• Effective communication with service advisors, parts advisors, and technicians.
• Valid British Columbia driver’s licence and clean driver’s abstract.
• Ability to drive both manual and automatic transmission vehicles.

Required skills
