Shift Manager

About the role

The Shift Manager leads day‑to‑day operations on assigned 12‑hour rotating shifts at JFE Shoji Power Canada’s Burlington plant. The role focuses on coaching the team, meeting production targets, and ensuring safety, quality and continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Facilitate and manage daily shift operations, ensuring production targets are met.
• Coach, guide and educate team members to achieve high‑performance results.
• Maintain and document safety activities, supervise plant safety and housekeeping, and ensure compliance with JSC Health & Safety Policy, the Occupational Health & Safety Act, AODA and WHMIS.
• Oversee JI audits, training requirements and return‑to‑work accommodations in collaboration with HR and the RTW Specialist.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives and uphold quality standards.

Required profile

• Strong understanding of JSC Health & Safety Policy, Occupational Health & Safety Act, AODA and WHMIS.
• Experience supervising plant safety, housekeeping and audit processes.
• Ability to empower teams to work autonomously while meeting production expectations.
• Effective collaboration with HR and safety specialists.

What we offer

• Competitive salary range of $75,000 – $95,000 CAD per year.
