Sheet Metal Foreperson – Mechanical Supervision

About the role

The Sheet Metal Foreperson reports to the Mechanical Operations Manager and leads the on‑site sheet metal team to meet project schedules across BC, the Yukon and the Northwest Territories. You will set daily and weekly goals, develop look‑ahead plans, and ensure all work aligns with specifications and safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, schedule and adjust work activities to keep projects on track.
• Interpret blueprints, drawings and specifications for ductwork, ventilation and make‑up air systems.
• Install, repair and maintain air and heat ducts, hoods and related equipment.
• Monitor QA/QC with the Site Superintendent and address any quality concerns.
• Maintain tools and equipment in good condition.
• Enforce safety protocols and ensure compliance with codes and regulations.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years experience as a Sheet Metal Lead/Foreperson in construction.
• Red Seal Sheet Metal Journeyperson certification.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC systems.
• Dependable self‑starter with a solid safety record.
• Proficiency in MS Office 365 and Bluebeam; familiarity with Procore and Outbuild.
• Willingness to obtain or hold certifications in Leadership for Safety Excellence, Fall Protection, WHMIS 2015, Elevated Work Platform and Level 1 First Aid.
