Sessional Lecturer – Communication and Conflict Resolution

About the role

The Faculty of Graduate Studies seeks a qualified sessional lecturer to teach EDS210H5F, Communication and Conflict Resolution, for the Fall 2026 term. The successful candidate will design and deliver course content that explores conflict management, interpersonal communication, and cross‑cultural perspectives, linking theory to teaching practice.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and present lecture material for weekly three‑hour sessions.
• Prepare and grade assignments, tests, and exams in accordance with university policies.
• Maintain regular communication with students via email and scheduled office hours.
• Order required readings and manage course resources.
• Calculate final grades and submit them through the university system.
• Supervise any teaching assistants assigned to the course, if applicable.

Required profile

• Completed Ph.D. with a research focus on leadership, higher education, or adult education.
• Demonstrated experience teaching conflict resolution or related subjects at the university level.
• Background in policy studies, education, and teacher education.
• Preference given to candidates already holding Sessional Lecturer II or III rank.
