Service Technician

About the role

Eastlink is looking for a Service Technician to join its field team in Charlottetown, PE. The role involves delivering superior customer service by identifying, troubleshooting and correcting service problems in the outside‑plant network, from the mainline to the customer premises.

Key responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair faults in the outside‑plant infrastructure for both forward and return paths.
• Perform on‑site troubleshooting from the mainline through to customer premises.
• Maintain accurate service records and report findings to the technical team.
• Travel throughout the assigned region using a company‑provided vehicle.
• Adhere to occupational health and safety standards while working at heights, in inclement weather, and near energized equipment.

Required profile

• Graduate of a recognized electronics program.
• Strong problem‑solving ability and customer‑focused attitude.
• Valid driver’s licence with a clean driving record.
• Willingness to work in various weather conditions and lift up to 90 lb.
• Ability to pass a driver’s abstract and criminal background check.

Required skills

• Electronics troubleshooting
• NCTI certification (or equivalent)
• SCTE certification (or equivalent)
