Service Technician

About the role

We are looking for a skilled, customer‑focused Service Technician to join RAD East Torque Systems. The role involves inspecting, troubleshooting, repairing and calibrating electrical and mechanical torque tools to meet RAD’s quality standards and provide exceptional service to our clients.

Key responsibilities

• Inspect and assess incoming electrical and mechanical repairs.
• Troubleshoot issues within defined timelines and provide accurate repair quotes.
• Perform repairs and calibrations to restore tools to RAD quality standards, following ISO 17025 procedures.
• Maintain detailed documentation of repairs, issues and customer transactions.
• Provide prompt professional support via phone and email, offering technical guidance on repairs and upgrades.
• Collaborate with internal departments and vendor technicians to ensure proper re‑certification and adherence to manufacturer processes.
• Manage RMA procedures and keep the workspace clean, organized and safe.

Required profile

• High school diploma (additional manufacturing certifications such as Lean, ASQ or Six Sigma are an asset).
• 2‑3 years experience with torque tools or similar equipment, including calibration.
• 2‑3 years experience in a customer‑service environment.
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting abilities.

Required skills

• Ability to read and interpret schematics and technical drawings.
• Knowledge of computers (hardware), software/firmware programming and basic networking.
• Experience with Wi‑Fi and Bluetooth technologies.
• Understanding of electrical and mechanical systems and their integration.
• Familiarity with ISO 17025 calibration procedures.
