Service Technician Helper

About the role

We are seeking a Service Technician Helper to support our Service Technicians in repairing exterior doors and PVC windows for our customers across Western Canada. The role involves preparing service vehicles, assisting with installations and repairs, and ensuring a clean and safe job site.

Key responsibilities

• Load service vehicle with required parts and review daily run sheets.
• Assist in repairing and adjusting exterior doors and PVC window products.
• Support re‑glazing of PVC windows and set up scaffolding as needed.
• Maintain clean job sites during and after work.
• Provide excellent customer service and ensure customer satisfaction.
• Follow health and safety regulations, wearing required protective equipment.
• Occasionally stay overnight for out‑of‑town jobs.

Required profile

• High school diploma; trade school education in the building industry (e.g., SAIT or NAIT) is preferred.
• At least 1 year of experience in construction, window and door repair, or related installation work.
• First Aid, Fall Protection and WHMIS training are assets.
• Valid Class 5 driver’s licence.
• Strong verbal and written English communication skills.

Required skills

• Use of hand tools for repair and installation.
• Handling of glass components.
• Working with both metric and imperial measurements.
• Scaffolding setup and safe work practices.
• Class 5 driver licence for vehicle operation.
