Senior Talent Acquisition Specialist

About the role

The Senior Talent Acquisition Specialist will lead full‑cycle recruitment for Staples Canada, supporting Retail Management, Corporate, and closed‑door facilities. You will act as a strategic partner to hiring managers, driving talent pipelines and enhancing the employer brand.

Key responsibilities

• Manage end‑to‑end recruitment for all levels across Retail, Corporate, and closed‑door lines of business.
• Utilize Oracle Recruiting Cloud (ATS) to screen, assess, and track candidates.
• Source, interview, and coordinate background checks for prospective hires.
• Develop and execute innovative sourcing strategies, including passive candidate outreach.
• Create and share engaging talent content on LinkedIn to promote the Staples brand.
• Represent the TA team at career fairs, hiring events, and through cross‑functional collaboration.
• Partner with external vendors and support hiring initiatives and projects.

Required profile

• University degree or post‑secondary education (preferred).
• 3‑5 years progressive HR/talent acquisition experience.
• Experience recruiting in retail or corporate environments is an asset.
• Bilingual English/French skills are a strong asset.
• Excellent time‑management, prioritization, and stakeholder‑management abilities.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to influence and present professionally.
