About the role
You will contribute to Elsevier’s Research Data Platform, focusing on harvesting and transforming large datasets for core data products. The role involves working primarily with Java or Python in a collaborative, DevOps‑focused environment.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and maintain code in Java and Python, contributing to new and existing projects.
- Work with large data sets to harvest, process, and feed internal systems and Elsevier products.
- Participate in code reviews, debugging, and continuous improvement of software quality.
Required profile
- Strong Java and Python development skills with experience in data manipulation.
- Ability to work with data models and languages such as SQL, XML, and UNIX.
- Bilingual communication proficiency in English and French, located in the Montreal area.
