Senior Project Manager – Pharmaceutical Development

About the role

This senior position leads high‑impact, late‑stage pharmaceutical development programs within a fast‑paced, global life‑sciences environment. Based in Canada, you will translate strategic therapeutic portfolios in oncology and rare diseases into concrete execution plans.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate planning, execution, and governance for multi‑functional drug development projects.
• Manage budgets, timelines, forecasts, and milestone tracking to ensure delivery against strategic objectives.
• Facilitate cross‑functional collaboration across clinical, regulatory, manufacturing and scientific teams.
• Lead regular project governance meetings and provide stakeholder updates.
• Identify, assess and mitigate risks, overseeing change‑control processes.
• Maintain project management systems, ensuring data integrity and transparent reporting.
• Mentor project team members and contribute to PMO best‑practice development.

Required profile

• 6+ years of experience in pharmaceutical, biotechnology or drug‑development environments, including late‑stage clinical programs.
• 5+ years of project‑management experience leading cross‑functional, multi‑disciplinary initiatives.
• Strong scientific understanding combined with operational discipline.
• Proven ability to work in a global, matrixed organization and influence senior leadership.
