Senior Project Manager – Healthcare Technology

About the role

The Provincial Health Application Services branch of Service New Brunswick is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager III to lead the implementation of the New Brunswick Cancer Network Lung and Cervical HPV Screening Project. This senior leadership role will drive the transition from legacy cancer screening systems to modern, secure, and integrated digital solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Provide overall leadership and governance for large‑scale healthcare technology initiatives.
• Manage project scope, schedule, budget, quality, resources, and deliverables.
• Develop and maintain detailed project plans, timelines, milestones, and resource allocations.
• Prepare and present status reports to executive leadership and facilitate steering committee meetings.
• Lead communication planning, stakeholder engagement, and coordination of internal teams, vendors, and business stakeholders.
• Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks, issues, dependencies, assumptions, and change requests.
• Monitor financial performance and ensure successful implementation and transition into operations.
• Work within the SNB Project Management Framework and support additional strategic initiatives as assigned.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, Health Informatics, Health Sciences, or a closely related discipline (or equivalent experience).
• Minimum 10 years of demonstrated experience in IT project management, preferably within the public‑sector healthcare environment.
• Proven experience leading large, complex digital transformation projects, including stakeholder engagement, governance, and risk management.
• Strong ability to communicate with executive leadership and facilitate cross‑functional teams.
