Senior Project Manager, Cloud Services

About the role

Safe Software is seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead its Cloud Services portfolio within the Information Services team. You will own key initiatives that shape the reliability, scalability, security and cost‑efficiency of the company’s corporate cloud environment.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee architecture, deployment, and lifecycle of Azure, AWS and GCP environments, ensuring scalability, security and cost efficiency.
• Define and enforce cloud governance, backup, disaster‑recovery and multi‑regional availability strategies.
• Manage strategic vendor relationships, SaaS architecture and service optimisation in partnership with IT Support, Legal and InfoSec.
• Partner with product engineering, DevOps and operations teams to provide secure, performant infrastructure and guidance for new initiatives.
• Lead FinOps initiatives, optimise spend through reserved instances, autoscaling and cost‑dashboard tooling, and collaborate with Finance on budgeting and contracts.
• Shape the corporate cloud roadmap, evaluate emerging technologies such as AI tools, and represent Information Services in cross‑functional leadership forums.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 6+ years delivering cloud services or enterprise IT projects, preferably in SaaS or software‑driven organisations.
• Proven track record leading cloud and corporate IT functions with strong stakeholder influence.
• Deep knowledge of security and compliance frameworks (SOC 2, ISO 27001, GDPR).

Required skills

• Azure, Amazon Web Services (AWS), Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Infrastructure as Code tools – Terraform, CloudFormation.
• FinOps and cost‑optimization tools – CloudHealth, AWS Cost Explorer.
• Security best practices – IAM, RBAC, backup and disaster‑recovery.
