About the role

The Senior Program Assistant (SPA) in the Office of Undergraduate Medical Education (OUGME) provides confidential administrative and coordination support for the MD Undergraduate Program at UBC. Based at the Gordon and Leslie Diamond Health Care Centre, the SPA ensures smooth day‑to‑day operations and high‑quality service for faculty, staff, and students.

Key responsibilities

• Manage calendars for 3‑4 faculty leaders, including scheduling large‑group and committee meetings.
• Coordinate the flow of information for daily OUGME activities.
• Provide secretarial, committee, and general administrative support.
• Maintain cross‑functional coverage to ensure continuity during absences or peak periods.
• Occasionally travel within the Lower Mainland to support UGME events at other UBC sites.
