Senior Network Engineer (Remote)

About the role

Siemens Healthineers is looking for an experienced Senior Network Engineer with deep expertise in Software‑Defined Access (SDA) to join its IT infrastructure team. This fully remote position serves the United States and Canada, with less than 25% travel required.

Key responsibilities

• Lead design, deployment, and maintenance of scalable, secure network solutions based on Cisco SDA and other SDN technologies.
• Collaborate with internal teams to operate, adjust, and optimize policy‑based automation and segmentation.
• Provide strategic guidance for network transformation projects, including SDA adoption, automation, and security architecture.
• Analyze traffic and performance metrics, making proactive adjustments to improve stability and reliability.
• Ensure implementations comply with design best practices, security policies, and regulatory requirements.
• Act as escalation point for operational teams, delivering break/fix support for priority incidents.
• Prepare regular status, project, and health reports for management.
• Mentor junior engineers and stay current with emerging networking trends.

Required profile

• Minimum 8 years of network engineering and solution design experience in enterprise environments.
• Extensive hands‑on experience with Cisco SDA technologies (DNA Center, ISE, Catalyst switches, Wireless LAN controllers).
• Strong knowledge of SDN, network automation, and security.
• Relevant Cisco certifications (CCNP, CCIE) with a focus on enterprise networks; SDA, DNA Center, or SD‑WAN certifications are a plus.
