Senior Infrastructure Analyst – Windows & VMware

About the role

The Infrastructure Analyst provides second‑level and higher support for a medium‑sized organization with roughly 250 dispersed users across the US and Canada. Working within a small, collaborative team, the analyst will manage Windows systems, virtual environments, and network infrastructure while ensuring high availability and security.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver 2nd‑level support for Windows Active Directory, Office 365, and Windows workstations.
• Administer VMware vSphere, ESXi hosts and vCenter, including VM provisioning and maintenance.
• Maintain network services (DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP) and enforce security best practices.
• Support Citrix remote‑access infrastructure and related troubleshooting.
• Perform backup administration, SCCM and WSUS deployments, and monitor systems via PRTG and Freshservice.
• Execute small‑to‑medium infrastructure projects such as upgrades, new services, and migrations.
• Participate in 24/7 on‑call rotation and respond to incidents promptly.
• Document procedures, support application migrations, and assist with printer, desk‑station, and cabling relocations.

Required profile

• 8+ years of technical support experience covering 1st, 2nd and 3rd level infrastructure.
• Strong background in Windows system administration and server environments.
• Proven ability to work independently, multitask and communicate effectively with end‑users.
• Willingness to participate in rotational on‑call duties.
