Senior Full-Stack Developer – Land Systems & Data Automation

About the role

We are looking for a senior full‑stack developer to lead the design and implementation of a new Land Management System and drive data automation across a major Canadian energy company. The role combines application development, integration, and DevOps responsibilities in a hybrid work environment.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain automation workflows that collect and process data from government websites, APIs, and external sources.
• Build and support data integration pipelines connecting databases, applications, and reporting tools.
• Develop and enhance full‑stack applications using modern front‑end (React) and back‑end (Python) technologies.
• Maintain, troubleshoot, and optimise existing land management applications while supporting new solution roll‑outs.
• Develop and consume RESTful APIs to enable system integrations.
• Support infrastructure deployment in on‑premises and Azure environments.
• Investigate and resolve application, integration, and data issues.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to refine reports, workflows, and automated data feeds.
• Participate in DevOps and automation initiatives to improve delivery efficiency and reliability.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a full‑stack developer with expertise in both front‑end and back‑end development.
• Strong development experience with React, Python, and PostgreSQL.
• Experience building and consuming RESTful APIs.
• Ability to independently troubleshoot, problem‑solve, and deliver solutions in a fast‑paced environment.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Effective collaboration within a small, highly engaged team.
• Self‑starter with initiative, adaptability, and a strong work ethic.
