Senior Financial Reporting Analyst – Funds & Tax

About the role

The Senior Financial Reporting Analyst, Financial Reporting & Tax, prepares and reviews financial statements, schedules, notes and related fund information for investment funds. The role requires deep knowledge of fund reporting standards such as NI 81-106 and IFRS, and the ability to manage workload to meet client service level agreements.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare interim and annual financial statements and supporting packages for complex funds.
• Complete month‑end and other reporting tasks for sophisticated fund clients.
• Review financial reporting packages prepared by junior analysts for accuracy.
• Assist external auditors during financial statement audits.
• Resolve client reporting issues and handle special reporting requests.
• Mentor and train Financial Reporting Analysts.
• Document and review internal control policies, recommending improvements.
• Participate in special projects and contribute to team effectiveness.

Required profile

• Undergraduate degree in accounting, finance or a related field.
• Enrollment in CPA‑CGA or CMA program preferred.
• Experience in investment fund accounting and familiarity with complex financial instruments and derivatives.
• Strong analytical ability, attention to detail and capacity to work independently under pressure.

• Familiarity with Confluence
