Senior Engineer – Land Development

About the role

Wood Rodgers is seeking a Senior Engineer to join its Land Development Department in Pleasanton. The role involves leading civil engineering projects for both private and public sector clients, delivering design, analysis, and construction support while fostering a collaborative team environment.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare engineering analyses, designs, calculations, and construction plans for private improvements and public works.
• Develop construction submittals, RFIs, specifications, and cost estimates (PS&E).
• Review development plans for compliance with engineering standards.
• Manage project resources, address schedule challenges, and ensure timely delivery.
• Lead multidisciplinary teams of engineers, contractors, and consultants throughout project lifecycles.
• Supervise technical support staff as needed and assist with budget and workload management.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering.
• Minimum 8 years of relevant engineering experience.
• Professional Engineer (P.E.) license.
• Proven ability to analyze data, produce comprehensive reports, and communicate effectively.

Required skills

• Proficiency with AutoCAD, including Civil 3D.
• Strong command of Microsoft Office Suite.
