Senior Cloud & DevOps Engineer – Azure, Windows, SQL

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Cloud & DevOps Engineer to join our team in Toronto on a 12‑month contract. The role focuses on designing, deploying and automating enterprise applications in Microsoft Azure while supporting Windows‑based infrastructure and SQL Server environments.

Key responsibilities

• Deploy, manage and support enterprise applications in Azure IaaS and PaaS environments.
• Design and implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform, Ansible, SALT or Chef.
• Administer Windows Server systems and automate tasks with PowerShell.
• Maintain MS SQL Server databases, including SSRS and SSIS components.
• Develop automation scripts in PowerShell, Bash, Shell or Python.
• Configure and manage CI/CD pipelines with tools such as Jenkins, GitHub, Bitbucket or Nexus.
• Monitor infrastructure performance, logging and alerts, and troubleshoot production issues.
• Collaborate with development, infrastructure and operations teams in an Agile environment.
• Support cloud migration and modernization initiatives.

Required profile

• 8‑10+ years of experience in IT infrastructure, cloud or DevOps engineering.
• Strong hands‑on experience with Microsoft Azure services and Windows Server administration.
• Proven expertise in CI/CD, IaC and automation scripting.
• Ability to work independently on complex technical challenges.
