Senior Business Manager – Toronto Tech Market

About the role

ASTEK Group is seeking a driven Senior Business Manager to own and expand a business perimeter within the Toronto technology market. You will be responsible for building a robust client portfolio in the IT and engineering ecosystem and turning opportunities into long‑term partnerships.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and grow a client portfolio focused on IT and engineering firms in Toronto.
• Identify business opportunities, convert them into sustainable partnerships, and design consulting or engineering solutions that address client challenges.
• Build trusted relationships with clients and key stakeholders, acting as the primary point of contact.
• Collaborate with recruitment teams to attract and place top‑tier consultants.
• Support the delivery of complex technical projects alongside internal delivery teams.
• Manage a profit centre, overseeing revenue, margin, and growth targets.

Required profile

• Engineering background or equivalent experience.
• 2–3 years of experience in business development, consulting, IT services, or entrepreneurship.
• Strong appetite for sales, client relationship building, and business growth.
• Fluent in English and comfortable working in an English‑speaking environment.
• Result‑oriented mindset with a focus on ownership and measurable impact.
