Senior Application Architect – SAP Supply Chain

About the role

Our government client is looking for a Senior Application Architect to lead the design and governance of an end‑to‑end digital supply chain, procurement, and finance ecosystem. The role is on‑site in Edmonton for a 1‑year contract and focuses on integrating SAP S/4HANA, Ariba, Fieldglass, OpenText and SAP BTP.

Key responsibilities

• Design and maintain a long‑term architectural vision that balances standard SAP capabilities with specific business needs.
• Ensure seamless integration across Plan‑Source‑Make‑Deliver‑Return processes and S2C/P2P modules.
• Lead requirement‑gathering sessions, evaluate solution feasibility, and govern solution delivery.
• Oversee testing and validation activities, particularly for Ariba updates.
• Drive enterprise‑wide transformation initiatives, including process harmonisation and change management.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in IT, Computer Science, Business, Accounting, Finance, Supply Chain or equivalent experience.
• At least 10 years of experience with SAP ECC or S/4HANA in S2C or P2P modules.
• Minimum 8 years of hands‑on experience in large‑scale transformation programmes.
• Leadership or supervisory experience in IT testing and validation.
• Strong understanding of public‑sector procurement practices and compliance frameworks.
