Senior Application Architect – SAP SCM Solution Architect

About the role

The Government of Alberta is looking for a Senior Application Architect with deep expertise in SAP Supply Chain Management to lead the design and integration of a unified Supply Chain, Procurement, and Finance ecosystem. You will shape the technical vision across SAP S/4HANA, Ariba, Fieldglass, OpenText and SAP Business Technology Platform while ensuring alignment with public‑sector policies.

Key responsibilities

• Define and maintain enterprise architecture roadmaps for supply‑chain, procurement and finance processes.
• Design integration patterns using SAP Integration Suite, CIG, IDocs and SAP Datasphere to connect SAP and non‑SAP systems.
• Facilitate workshops with stakeholders to translate business needs into scalable solutions.
• Provide technical direction to development and QA teams, oversee testing, validation and deployment.
• Support quarterly release planning for SAP Ariba and Fieldglass.
• Collaborate with analytics teams to implement reporting solutions with SAP Analytics Cloud and SAP Datasphere.

Required profile

• Extensive experience designing and delivering SAP S/4HANA, Ariba and Fieldglass solutions.
• Strong background in enterprise architecture and integration design.
• Proven ability to work with public‑sector procurement and finance regulations.
• Excellent stakeholder management and workshop facilitation skills.
