Senior Accountant – Multi-Entity Finance

About the role

London Drugs is looking for a detail‑oriented Senior Accountant to join its collaborative Finance team in Richmond, BC. The role supports financial reporting, reconciliation and analysis across a portfolio of companies, providing insight that drives business performance.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and post journal entries, including intercompany and related‑party transactions.
• Perform general‑ledger account reconciliations and maintain supporting schedules such as prepaids, accruals and leases.
• Manage fixed assets and capital projects, handling depreciation, roll‑forwards and related reconciliations.
• Conduct variance analysis to support month‑end, quarter‑end and year‑end close processes.
• Prepare audit working papers and liaise with external auditors.
• Complete regulatory reporting, including Statistics Canada submissions.
• Analyze large data sets to identify trends, discrepancies and improvement opportunities.
• Contribute to finance process improvements and special projects.

Required profile

• CPA designation or final‑stage candidate who has passed the Final exam and is completing practical experience requirements.
• Strong knowledge of ASPE and technical accounting principles.
• Experience with full‑cycle accounting and general‑ledger processes in a multi‑entity environment.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including PowerQuery and PowerPivot.
• Proficiency with large ERP systems such as Microsoft Dynamics 365 or PeopleSoft.
• High attention to detail, strong analytical ability and capacity to manage multiple priorities.
• Effective communication and collaborative mindset.
