Senior Accountant

About the role

We are looking for a highly motivated Senior Accountant to join our Finance and Accounting team. The role involves maintaining accurate accounting records, preparing consolidated financial statements, and supporting multiple entities in a fast‑paced environment.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain timely reconciliations for all balance‑sheet accounts.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual consolidated financial statements.
• Analyze financial results and explain variances against budget, forecast and prior periods.
• Prepare and post journal entries and coordinate audit requests.
• Identify and implement improvements to accounting processes, controls and reporting efficiency.
• Support special projects, system implementations and other finance initiatives.

Required profile

• 5–7 years of progressive senior accounting experience.
• CPA designation preferred; equivalent professional accounting designation considered an asset.
• Strong knowledge of full‑cycle corporate accounting in a multi‑project, multi‑entity environment.
• Proficiency with IFRS standards and ability to apply them to complex transactions.
• Experience preparing consolidated statements, budgeting and forecasting.
• Understanding of applicable Federal and Provincial tax requirements.
• Ability to work independently, meet tight deadlines and solve complex accounting issues.
